The second half of 2012 is here. How are you doing on the Dreams and Goals you set for the year? Or, do you really have clear dreams and goals at all? Most people only had resolutions that were quickly forgotten.
To succeed at the highest level in this game called life you gotta have a clear picture of where you are going. Having clear dreams and goals is not a sometime thing. it's an all-the-time thing...
Would you stay on an airplane if the pilot said, "Hello, this is your Captain. Welcome aboard. Today we're going to take off, fly in a random direction for a few hours, and eventually land ... somewhere?" Of course you wouldn't!
Pilots must know their destination and have a flight plan to get there every single flight. They understand that in order to arrive at a particular airport in a specified city at a designated time, they must fly at a certain speed, at a certain altitude and on a certain heading. They also know that as they fly the aircraft, they will have to make many small adjustments to stay on course and arrive at the correct destination.
So back to the question, how are you doing on your New Year's resolution for 2012? Do you have a clear target and a plan to get there? What adjustments do you need to make in order to arrive? Or, do you simply need to set some new goals for the second half and get busy?
Clear dreams and goals will give you purpose and direction, and they keep you focused and on target. With your vision of the future firmly in mind, it's easy to see the adjustments you need to make along the way. Without written dreams and goals, you could end up almost anywhere.
Don't just think about it ... do it!
